INTRO FOR NEW MA DESIGN STUDENTS

How do you, as design students and future designers, engage with societal challenges and change? How do you envision future design competencies, work practices and forms of organization? In this course, which happens in parallel to Helsinki Design Week, you will encounter a variety of contemporary design perspectives as well as opportunities for emerging and future design roles. You will meet all the new master’s students in the Department of Design. You collaborate to put your visions into practice – prototype your ideal future design organization!

PERSONAL PROJECT CONFERENCE

Welcome to the Personal Project conference 2016! Once a year, in the conference, second-year MA Design students present their Personal Projects, and new MA Design students get information to start up their Personal Project. The Personal Project course is a one year journey around a theme of your choice, supported by tutors and the multidisciplinary context of Aalto University. In the course, you develop your professional competence, individuality, self-discipline and – most important – curiosity!
